2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 cup unsalted butter, cold (for laminating)

Instructions

1. Activate Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Make Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and softened butter. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Knead: Knead 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

4. Laminate: Roll the dough into a rectangle. Place cold butter in the center, fold the dough over it like an envelope.

5. Roll and Fold: Roll out again, fold into thirds. Chill for 30 minutes. Repeat 3 times (this creates the flaky layers).

6. Shape & Bake: Roll into a circle, cut into triangles, roll each into a crescent shape. Let rise 1–2 hours.

7. Bake: Brush with egg wash, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes until golden.

Ingredients

2½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt

1 cup cold unsalted butter

⅔ cup ice-cold water

Instructions

1. Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour and salt in a bowl.

2. Add Butter: Cut cold butter into small cubes, mix into the flour (leave visible chunks of butter).

3. Add Water: Gradually add ice water until dough comes together.

4. Roll and Fold: Shape into a rectangle, roll out, fold into thirds. Chill for 30 minutes.

5. Repeat: Roll and fold 4–5 more times, chilling between each fold.

6. Use: Roll to desired thickness for tarts, pastries, or pies.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Activate Yeast: In warm water, add sugar and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy. 2. Make Dough: In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.

3. Knead: Knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 minutes).

4. Rise: Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour (until doubled).

5. Shape: Punch down, shape into pizza crust.

6. Top & Bake: Add toppings, bake at 475°F (245°C) for 10–15 minutes.

🥧 Homemade Pie Crust Dough

Ingredients

2½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp salt1 tbsp sugar

1 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

6–8 tbsp ice-cold water

Instructions

1. Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, salt, and sugar.

2. Cut in Butter: Add cubed butter and mix with a pastry cutter or fingers until crumbly (pea-sized pieces).

3. Add Water: Slowly add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until the dough just comes together.

4. Chill: Form into a disk, wrap, and chill for 1 hour.

5. Roll Out: Roll dough on a floured surface to desired size.

6. Bake: For pre-baked crust, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15–20 minutes with pie weights.
